Abstracts and Facts Exhibit at Eubie Blake National Jazz Cultural Center

MBA is pleased to have had such a successful run for Abstracts & Facts that the original run has been extended twice due to popular demand. Abstracts & Facts was shown at Eubie Blake located at 847 N. Howard Street.

The exhibit features acrylic, oils, and mixed mediums. It explores life and how abstract the thing that we call facts truly are and with the help of abstraction, pushes beyond the limitations that facts place on us.

Delectable food was catered by Small Occasions Catering, specialty drinks were served by Nina Bartending, and we were pleased to have musical artist Jahiti perform on opening night. MBA welcomed guests ranging from representatives from the Baltimore Museum of Art, former NFL players, art dealers, educators, PSU alumni, and of course art lovers.

If you have any pictures from the exhibit and would like them to be featured in the gallery, please email us at info@mateoblu.com with subject #abstractsandfacts.

Adult Paint Night!

MBA brought its own adult paint night to the Eubie Blake National Jazz Cultural Center during the month of August. You will not find a cookie-cutter art class here! MBA’s class challenged students to let go and become in tune with their emotions and the influence of their emotions over varying musical selections. The class worked with the mantra in mind that ‘there are no mistakes in art’.

Please stay tuned for more classes in Spring 2015!!!
